Four distinguished scientists to deliver leading-edge keynote lectures at PREMUS 2016

They are among the most respected and innovative researchers in their specialties. We’re now delighted to announce they will be at PREMUS 2016 to deliver the keynote lectures on some of the most current and far-reaching topics on the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Find out what the largest follow-up study to date on carpal tunnel syndrome tells us about risk factors and prevention. Reflect on why safety leadership and safety culture are essential to MSD prevention. Learn about the low-back injury risks of prolonged sitting or standing. And hear the importance of sex or gender as a lens for understanding and preventing MSDs.

Catch the Blue Jays in action on Tuesday June 21

Nothing says summer in Toronto like an evening of baseball at the Rogers Centre (or, as Torontonians affectionately refer to it, the SkyDome). Let’s just hope the roof is open and the stars are out on Tuesday, June 21, as Toronto’s favourite sports team, the Blue Jays, takes on the National League’s Arizona Diamondbacks. This is your chance to watch the 2015 American League East Division Champions start their 2016 run for the World Series. We’ve booked some great tickets close to field level, just past third base, for PREMUS attendees. But hurry; seats are limited.

Abstract acceptance letters on their way

Thank you to everyone who submitted an abstract for an oral presentation, poster or symposium. Members of the PREMUS 2016 International Scientific Committee have been busy reviewing the proposals. They’ve made their final decisions, and acceptance letters will be sent out by February 12. If you don’t receive your letter by then or still have any questions, please contact us at premus2016@iwh.on.ca. And watch the PREMUS 2016 website for program details.
