EI network profiles

The Institute maintains five networks of educationally influential practitioners. Each network is profiled below.

Chiropractors EI network

Activities:

  • New members were nominated in 2013.
  • An annual event is held each winter.
  • IWH contributes articles to the magazine, Canadian Chiropractor.
  • The Neck Pain Evidence Summary was created from the work of a task force on neck pain which included IWH scientists and some of the EI Chiropractors from 1999-2007.

Activities:

  • New members were nominated in 2013.
  • An annual event is held each spring.
  • IWH contributes articles to the ACE newsletter, Communique.

Kinesiologist EI network

Activities:

  • New members were nominated in 2015.
  • An annual event is held each spring.
  • IWH has contributed articles to the Canadian Journal of Kinesiology.

Affiliated Organizations:

Occupational therapists EI network

Activities:

  • New members were nominated in 2015.
  • An annual event is held each fall.
  • Working Together: Successful Strategies for Return to Work, was a booklet designed by IWH with EIs to help occupational therapists engage employers in developing RTW programs.

Activities:

  • New members were nominated in 2015.
  • An annual event is held each winter.

Affiliated Organizations:

Family physicians EI network (past network)

Activities:

  • This network ran from 2002-2007 with 180 members.
  • POCKET toolkit for low-back pain was produced with the network based on research done by affiliates and IWH.
