Assessing the impact of Ontario's High Risk Firm Initiative

From 2004 to 2008, Ontario's Ministry of Labour carried out the High Risk Firm Initiative. This initiative targeted employers with high workers' compensation claim rates to receive increased inspections and enforcement from the Ministry, and increased education and consulting services from the health and safety associations (HSAs). The aim of this ongoing project is to assess if the High Risk Firm Initiative resulted in improved workplace health and safety practices and outcomes.
