Geographic differences in work injury risk

The goals of this project are:

  • to show geographic variations in work injury rates by province and provincial regions, and then by gender and industry
  • to examine the association between work injury risk and regional socioeconomic factors (e.g. household income), regional labour market characteristics (e.g. unionization density), and demographic and work-related characteristics
  • to examine gender differences among the individual and geographic factors predicting risks of work injury, including musculoskeletal disorders.
