Typically released in the fall of every year, the Institute for Work & Health (IWH)’s Annual Report takes a look back at the previous fiscal year. The report includes a theme-based narrative on the fiscal year’s research and knowledge transfer and exchange activities, a look at the year in numbers, and the report of the independent auditors based on their annual review of the Institute’s financial statements.
COVID-19 was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020, with three weeks left in the 2019/20 fiscal year. The 2019/20 Annual Report, titled "Disruption," describes how the Institute for Work & Health pivoted to conduct new research and adapt ongoing research to address questions raised by the changing work and health circumstances brought on by the pandemic. It also shares highlights of the research we conducted during the 2019/20 year before the onset of COVID-19.
