Typically released in the fall of every year, the Institute for Work & Health (IWH)’s Annual Report takes a look back at the previous fiscal year. The report includes a theme-based narrative on the fiscal year’s research and knowledge transfer and exchange activities, a look at the year in numbers, and the report of the independent auditor based on its annual review of the Institute’s financial statements.
The 2024/25 report looks at how we practise the ART of science—ensuring our work is Applied, Rigorous and Trusted. Against a backdrop of growing mis/disinformation, we strive to strengthen trust in science and in public institutions. We do this by ensuring policy-makers, employers and workers in Ontario and beyond have free access to independent, evidence-based information they can trust and use. This annual report describes IWH research projects conducted during the 2024/25 fiscal year. It also shares the results of a 2024 stakeholder survey that confirms the trust our stakeholders have in the work we do and the information we share.
