The 2018 annual conference of the Ontario Occupational Health Nurses Association (OOHNA) features one day of sessions and a one-day workshop.
The sessions on May 31 focus on the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board's policy on chronic mental stress, psychological health and safety, developments in health and safety legal issues and legislation, and more.
The workshop on June 1 is addressing the management of employees in distress, with a focus on tools to support emotional and cognitive concerns in the workplace. It is being led by Nancy Gowan, president of Gowan Health Consultants. Gowan, an occupational therapist, is also a member of two Institute for Work & Health stakeholder networks.
