Not all jobs are created equal. Some forms of employment are insecure and unrewarding. They leave people vulnerable to stress, economic hardship and poor health. This infographic pulls together findings from IWH research on the link between job quality and workers' health outcomes. It shows how death rates increase as job quality decreases. That is, compared to workers in standard jobs, workers in precarious jobs have higher rates of death from cancer, cardiovascular disease, unintended injuries, and from drug poisoning, alcohol and suicide.
