Cynthia Chen is an analyst/biostatistician in the Data and Information Systems Program at the Institute for Work & Health.
Since joining IWH in 2005, Chen has provided statistical support for projects across the Institute’s range of activities. She is currently working with Dr. Peter Smith to explore gender and age differences in return to work after injury, and trends in violence-related compensation claims in Ontario workplaces. She is also working with Dr. Arif Jetha on work disability prevention for millennial young adults with rheumatic disease. She is also working with Dr. Sheilah Hogg-Johnson to predict the return to work of injured workers using information from worker’s compensation organizations and health providers.
Chen received a master’s degree in biostatistics from the University of Toronto.
