Geneviève Jessiman-Perreault

PhD student

Geneviève Jessiman-Perreault joined the Institute for Work & Health in January 2020 as a PhD student working with Dr. Monique Gignac and Dr. Peter Smith. She is pursuing her PhD in social and behavioural health sciences at the University of Toronto's Dalla Lana School of Public Health. She was one of the recipients of the 2022-2023 S. Leonard Syme Research Training Award in Work and Health.

Before joining the Institute, Jessiman-Perreault worked as a research associate for the Alberta Health Servies in Calgary, Alberta where she supported the development and evaluation of workplace health interventions. 

Jessiman-Perreault holds an honours BA in sociology and an MSc in community health sciences from the University of Calgary. Her PhD research focuses on gendered differences in access to, use of and need for workplace accommodations among Canadians living with conditions causing disabilities.
